If you were born in ā€˜62 like I was, you grew up with one of the greatest television shows of all time (well, I was 5yo at the time šŸ˜†), the Monkees! A conceived boy band for TV, that was made up of four talented musicians- Davey Jones, Mike Nesmith, Mickey Dolenz, and Peter Tork. Their three #1 hits included Last Train to Clarksville, Daydream Believer, and Neil Diamond’s I’m a Believer.
The Jelly Roll Mortals are fresh off their triumphant performance at the Buddy Holly Winter Dance and turn their talents on late 60’s power pop.
The Rockville Elks Lodge has cheap drinks and ā€œsomewhat edible substancesā€ for sale. Plentiful parking out back.
There’s a $15 cover charge and the band starts at 7:30. I’ll try to reserve a couple of tables and arrive at 7.
