The Spot Prawn & Seafood Celebration, on June 6, 2026 from 11am to 5pm! Enjoy activities for all ages happening between the Fisherman’s Wharf and The Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
*👩🍳 Culinary Stage 11:00am – 4:30pm – Join local chefs to learn insider tips for preparing and cooking delicious seafood dishes. Check out back soon for our chef line-up!
- 🎸 Live Music – There will be live music throughout the day on the boardwalk including local musicians.
🧒 Kids Zone – Learn about Gyotaku*, the traditional Japanese method of fish printing with artist Paula Nishikawara, and try it for yourself! There will also be facepainting, an inflatable bouncy boat and live performances for the kids to enjoy. - 🤹 Circus Performances – Circus West will be performing throughout the day.
*🍤 Dine About – Enjoy locally caught Spot Prawns at participating Steveston restaurants as part of this year’s Dine About event! - 🐟 World Ocean Day at the Cannery – Celebrate World Ocean Day at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site! From 11:00am–4:00pm, enjoy interactive programming, community outreach booths, workshops, presentations, and activities celebrating “The Ocean and Us.” Free admission to the Cannery museum is included as well.
