50s+ Fun Folks

A walk along the Poudre River and through the Signature Bluffs Natural Area. We start and end at the Poudre Learning Center parking lot.

4.0 Miles
60 feet of elevation gain.
Prepared trail surfaces.
Dogs on leashes welcome.

After the hike I will be going to Doug's Diner to eat. You are welcome to join me/us.

We depart from the boat ramp at 7:30. Please arrive early enough to have your boat and gear ready by departure time.

The sun sets at 8:35PM, but we get the effects earlier because of the foothills. The summer solstice officially occurs at 8:42PM. We will paddle to the Inlet Bay outlet (using the long way) and on our return to the boat ramp we should be in darkness. There's the manmade lightshow to watch from the houses on the hills above and the campfires on the campground shoreline. The moon will not rise until 5 hours after we finish.

I will probably wear swim trunks, a t-shirt, and a long sleeve shirt for this paddle.

I will be there at 7:00 to assist others with their boats and gear.

I have navigation lights for us to use so others can see us on the water. I will be wearing a headlamp as well. It would be a good idea for you to bring a headlamp too.

There's Happy Hour at my place starting at 6:30. Bring whatever you feel is appropriate for the evening. Party responsibly. You may want to drive to the boat ramp and walk to my place for libation. It will be 9:30-ish before you will need to drive.
