Wolfberg, Upper Steenberg Peak and Muizenberg Peak.

An attractive climb and hike for reasonably fit hikers. This is a part repeat hike which was more or less rained out on Sunday 9 July this year. If you missed out then here is an opportunity to do an adaption of the same hike. This time we are going to carry on to Muizenberg Peak in stead of going to Muizenberg Cave and circling back to the start. We descend from Muizenberg Peak to Boyes Drive where we left our parked cars. PLEASE NOTE: The meeting place is on Boyes Drive a few hundred meters from the big bend down to Lakeside where there is a small parking area and the Silvermine Muizenberg Peak hiking start sign board. There is plenty of parking space on the road as well. We will shuffle cars to take hikers to the start or use Uber to get to the start. If anyone wants to Uber direct to the start we will meet them at the Hiking Start sign in the Gate 2 parking on top of the Steenberg Plateau. Just let me know. The hike is about 6 klm in all and there is a height gain of about 300 meters. It ranks 2Bc on the Meridian grading scale. No scrambling or exposure. Rain cancels. No dogs allowed. Bring water, lunch and dress according to the weather of the day. The fee to join is R 40.00 which you can pay cash on the day or by EFT by Friday 8 Sept to my bank account which you will find under my name below.
