Topic of the day presented by Catherine Brennan:

"Can three (3) property flips annually replace my salary in Ireland ?"

Catherine Brennan who has twenty years’ experience as a landlord, property accountant and property problem solver including helping hundreds of property owners with refinancing and doing deals with the banks over the course of the recession in Ireland. She is also a qualified interior designer so can make the best presentation of property in order to maximise returns on sale or rental property.

As a trainer she has lectured to degree level in finance in Portobello College Dublin and also provides training to legal firms on practice management. Having gained an Honours Economics Degree from NUIG she moved to Dublin to complete the ACCA exams and then the ICSA exams and later added insolvency qualifications and QFA RPA to that.

Catherine bought her first investment property in Dublin twenty two (22) years ago and has bought and sold and renovated around 40 units since. Her portfolio includes over 20 Buy-To-Let (BTL) properties and she has worked through 350 cases with multiple clients to date.

She has invested in Ireland, UK and abroad and survived the recession (just about!).She herself now specializes in tenant free strategies such as flips and renovations and land gain but has plenty experience of BLT’s and SA etc and trains people looking to build portfolio’s and also to improve and tweak the ones they have to improve the yield.
She is keenly aware of the differences of the Irish and UK systems in terms of legals and lending and the general housing culture and trends.
