I'm Not Quite Dead Yet! - App Suspend & Resume across Three Platforms

An important commonality amongst all mobile platforms is the ability to suspend an app when the user navigates away, and quickly resume when the user navigates back.

Without developer intervention, a user navigating back to your app may find themselves back at the start page, which is at best is an annoyance and at worst can mean data loss. App suspend and resume that is well thought out and well implemented can make the difference between a good experience and an irritating one, and it's on us to get it right!

In this session, I'll walk through how suspend / resume is dealt with in iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, showing some similarities between the three platforms and how to get it right.
