'80's Band at Mahoney's

Let's try Mahoney's again. This time it's a cover band called Thunderpants (what a name!). They focus on '80's hits and have been playing all over Houston. Bands at Mahoney's start late, 9pm, but that gets us around the bad Friday night traffic. Their Happy Hour is over at 7pm and the Friday special is fish & chips for $10, and they have appetizer specials from $3.50 to $6. The drink specials are $4 domestic drafts, $5 drafts, $4 house liquor, $6 house wine, $7 cocktails & Mules. Admittedly, getting there in time for Happy Hour eating & drinking makes for a long night.

I usually park in the free theater parking structure not far away (nice to be covered if it's raining) and there's a pay lot across the bridge to the south. It will be pure luck to find street parking.
