The Market Street concerts are back
Details
The Market Street (free!) concerts start this week (April 9th) and are on every Thursday through May 21st. This is a nice venue because you're surrounded by places to grab a bite or drink, and there is a big dance floor in front of the stage. We're usually the only ones brave enough to dance.
As with all outdoor events, there is no limit on the amount of attendees & guests. Please register, and cancel if you you can't make it, to let people know who they can look for at the event.
The band on this day is Clutch City. I don't think we've seen them before but they have an extensive song list and are getting booked all over Houston it seems.
Here's Clutch City's Facebook page:

The music starts at 6pm but we're meeting an hour early for better seat choices and parking. The music lasts until 8:30pm. You'll need a folding chair and are allowed to bring snacks & drinks (no glass).
Finding each other is a bit of a trick at outdoor venues. I'll put up a red flag where I'm sitting when I get there, probably closer to the stage and in the middle. Sitting together in a big group is challenging, especially if the lawn fills up quickly. If you get there early try to leave some open spaces between your chairs so you can shift later to make room for others in the group who can't get there sooner. Wearing name badges is a big help in finding each other, try to get one from me when you arrive.
See you there.
