Meaux Cotton ('70's & '80's Rock) at Mahoney's

We need an indoor venue with all the rain in the forecast. Meaux Cotton & The Feel is a 6 piece Houston band featuring '70's & '80's Rock, right down our alley. Checking out bands that we 're not familiar with who play our kind of music is better than seeing the same groups too often.

The music starts at 9pm and runs to 1am.

We'll ask to have some of the high top tables we usually sit at reserved for us.

We won't put a limit on the attendees or guests, but know that we usually get 3 high-top bar tables set aside for us, with seats for 6 each at the most. If we need more seats than that there's usually not a problem finding another place to land not far away. I'll wait until Thursday to ask for tables so we can first see how many people plan on coming.

Though the music starts at 9pm (late for our crowd) the Event starts at 8pm. This is to give people a chance to chat before the loud music starts and to fill our tables before others try to move in on them. Mahoney's hopes we order some food & drinks then too - but there is no pressure to see our people spend more money (yet). If everyone orders a little we can keep it that way.

This is our best choice for dancing in air conditioning this week. Hope to see you there.
