Original event details below. Must RSVP! Those that call Pam at library may get to go as some people can not make this new date.
The library limits the # attendees at this event, so please sign up now, keep your RSVP updated, and out of your respect for all history lovers- show up to the event.
I will be keeping an attendance record.
The West Bottoms is the low-lying part of Kansas City pinched between downtown Kansas City, KS and Strawberry Hill in Kansas City, MO.
While the Kansas part was devoted chiefly to the stock slaughter business, the Missouri part was devoted to the transportation of goods and passengers, and the warehousing of agricultural goods.
Meeting Point:We will meet in the Bottoms at the intersection of Santa Fe and Union for a brief lecture followed by a 70-minute walking tour.
I will add details as they become available, but this area is rich in KC History and will be an excellent way to spend a Saturday morning.
Thanks for the FYI Stephanie! The group appreciates it!
Perhaps lunch or a glass of wine at Amigoni after the tour!
You must RSVP via the link above to reserve your space.
