In women and teen girls assigned at birth with endometriosis, tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. The symptoms of endometriosis vary in their presentation and severity; however, the most common symptom is pelvic pain. As we journey through our November theme of pain, please join me in welcoming blogger of the Bloomin' Uterus, Ms. Lisa Howard. Lisa will walk us through a concept called "Pain Journaling" and can be used by anyone and EVERYONE!!

Diagnosed with Endometriosis when she was 34 years old after suffering for 20 years, Lisa has dedicated herself to helping others with the disease and/or those who love and support others with it. By day, she is a paralegal at a small law firm in California. And by night, she's a researcher and blogger. Lisa also runs a local Endo support group which offers face-to-face support, virtual support, workshops, and an annual walk. In her free time, she enjoys time with her husband and their two cats, volunteers for the Forest Fire Lookout Association, loves to hike, read, write, and dabble in photography. She's had six excision surgeries since 2014, including two bowel resections, and hoping to remain symptom-free... Lisa will show us how to "Journal your Pain" with various methods and slides. This compelling walk through the pain in our daily lives will serve as a dose of self-care and self-love.
