I have one spot open for a participant in this upcoming clinic, Introduction to Liberty & Trick Training." This is a two day, Saturday & Sunday" clinic. Each Clinic day, is from 11am to 3 pm. Cost is $150 for praticipants. $20 for Auditors. Please email to themoldys@hotmail.com for Clinic Brochure & registration form, prior to the Clinic Date.
This clinic is limited to 4 participants, and their horse.
Participants can choose to use a horse on our farm, if you cannot bring a horse. The skills learned will translate to all horses. Each
participant has a 35’ x 50’ private (enclosed) section to practice
their skills in on day one. This clinic is great for all ages of horses,
and their owners.
No stallions, or dogs are allowed, due to insurance regulations. However, we encourage all to participate as Auditors. This two-day clinic will help you in rehabilitation situations, as well as training a horse to better & safer obedience. This clinic will teach you the skills required to reach your goals, and assist those with problem horses. This work will keep them them stimulated, and keep them happy in their current situations. These learned skills will make it much safer for both of you, and will lay a great foundation going forward.
This clinic will help to make your young, old, or rehabilitating horse confident and safe to be around. The skills, learned in this clinic, provide the necessary foundation for horses of all levels of training. Any
behavioral problems can be easily solved. Even professional
equestrians will encounter some great tools! Liberty, and Trick
training lessons share a common training strategy. You will learn
how to find your horse’s fun side of his/her behavior, and teach
them how to perform a trick. This is also a very valuable tool for
connecting with your horse. It helps the horse to emotionally connect with you, in a fun way, bringing out their natural spirit and personality.
This clinic will introduce you to the methods of working, and
communicating, with your horse. Knowing when, how to ask, and
how to reward your horse for every question you ask of them.
Day 1: This clinic begins with a sit-down class session, about 1 ½
hour learning the tools, and language required for the training,
without your horse. (Containment of your horse will be arranged
upon arrival to the farm.) Then we will spend about 2 hours of in-
hand work, with your horse, practicing of these skills, in a private
section of the arena. This will involve work on the halter & lead,
first, then work at liberty (off the lead).
Day 2: This day will begin with horses saddled but in halter & lead.
We’ll refresh our skills, from day 1, then bridle and spend the 2-3
hours of this clinic day working on obstacles, and skills while
mounted.
Required Equipment: Halter with a 9 foot lead rope,
rope halter is best. Lunge line, dressage or buggy whip.
For you: Gloves, helmet, boots, drinks and bagged lunch.
