DESCRIPTION
This event is of special interest given the $62B China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project underway, and applications of quantum computing for scheduling and traffic flow, and Chinese global leadership in Quantum Key Distribution and security protocols.
Panelists will discuss the need for a quantum technology ecosystem in Pakistan and how this can be achieved via academic and industrial partnerships. Government policy that will best assist in this case will also be discussed, as well as international collaborations that can support these developments.

- Dr. Yarjan Abdul Samad - Senior Research Associate & Senior Teaching Fellow at University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
Dr. Abdul Samad is a materials engineer turned materials scientist working toward the development of new materials and devices for Space, Advanced Healthcare, Sustainable Environment and Renewable Energy applications.
- Dr Muhammed Shahbaz Anwar - Research Associate at University of Cambridge, , United Kingdom
Dr Anwar’s research works are mostly on devices based superconductivity and quantum materials, which have the potential to form the future of dissipation-less spintronics and quantum information technology. Dr Anwar earned his PhD in Kamerlingh Onnes Lab at Leiden University the Netherlands and worked as a Researcher (JSPS fellow ) in Quantum Materials Lab at Kyoto University, Japan.
- Dr. Faisal Shah Khan - Co-founder & Interim CEO - Dark Star Quantum Lab
Dr. Khan is the interim CEO of the quantum technology startup, Dark Star Quantum Lab. His research work has produced peer-reviewed scientific papers that are motivating a scientific approach to the development of the product roadmap at Dark Star Quantum Lab. Dr. Khan serve as an advisor to Quantum Computing Inc, the first quantum startup to be listed on the stock market (QUBT: $200M market cap).
