Can people really change?
Details
Hey there Queer+ adult men 18+, hello and welcome!!
For this weeks topic: Can People Really Change? - We would like to start this topic off by saying that it's important to understand that change is not easy.
"Sometimes people are not emotionally ready to change. When given a choice, a lot of people will choose a bad situation that’s familiar over an improvement that’s unfamiliar and scary. It’s so much easier to be in a situation where you know the rules, even if it’s really hard in other ways."
— AIMEE DARAMUS, PSYD
With that being said - it is a possibility, but also not guaranteed... especially if someone is not open to change.
So what is your personal experience/perspective on this topic - either romantically and/or generically speaking? For example - Can people really change or is it only a temporary adjustment when partners are faced with a situation that involves an ultimatum to end the relationship?
Let's talk it out!
