Real world case: Spark and the Lifelog app by Sony Mobile

This meetup features a real world case using Spark, presented by Håkan Jonsson.

Håkan Jonsson work at Sony Mobile, Research & Incubation department as a data scientist in the Lifelog team. He is also a PhD student at Lund University, with "Smartphone sensing of social context" as his subject. In this talk he will introduce the Lifelog app and its API, and then show two notebook examples of applying clustering to Lifelog user data, for user interest modelling and location analysis. He will also share his views on privacy and ethics in big data and how it affects application design.
