We love QGIS! Tonight we'll celebrate this wonderful mapping tool by having a simple introduction to get everyone going. If you haven't tried QGIS before, do so with us tonight.
Starting out with the basics, we're going through downloading and installing QGIS. We're recapping how to map Norwegian data, how to make a choropleth map. Then we dive into some of the more advanced capabilities of QGIS, by extracting OSM data in efficient ways.
Of course this is a user driven event, so anyone who wants to set the agenda and show us something really cool is free to do that :)
So, let's make some awesome static maps. There will be pizza, Carto is sponsoring us until March 2017.
Remember to bring a laptop. Beginners are very welcome!
