Bay Ridge and a slice of Sunset Park

A guided tour of the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bay Ridge and Sunset Park. We will walk along Shore Road from the Verrazano Bridge to Owl's Head Park and then follow the "Greenbelt" to the 8th Avenue "Chinatown" and stop for lunch at a food mall. Afterwards we will continue to the "Park" in Sunset Park and end by the Main Gates of the Greenwood Cemetery. My main focus will be on the history and local landmarks of this mutliethnic residential and former industrial section of Brooklyn.

Take the R train to the last stop at the 95th Street Terminal. This will be a moderate (not slow) paced walk of about 5 miles that will last about 5 hours.
