5Rhythms® SWEATy SUNDAY- Moving Meditation/Dance Classes.
These are ongoing Monthly movement meditation dance classes open to every body. 5Rhythms® is a practice, a moving meditation of listening to & moving our bodies in order to deepen our awareness and transform our lives. The rhythms are a powerful and simple way to transform ourselves into the fullest embodiment of our authentic selves. Sweat Your Prayers® is an open and permissive dance space to practice the 5Rhythms and the Wave and most importantly learn to follow one’s own inner world. Ultimately each one of us must become our own greatest resource and teacher. SWEATy SUNDAY is a gathering where we bring our individual 5Rhythms practice and move through the rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness with intention and in community. The intention of this class is to have relatively little formal instruction, relying on the individual to create and support one’s own and therefore one another’s dance. Using the Wave as a map to foster and support this. 'To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self. Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past. Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self healing, whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor. The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy. '~ Gabrielle Roth. Drop in €20 Please arrive on time to register, change and be on the dance floor for our 11.00 am start. Doors open 10.45 Wear layers for comfort and bring water to drink... expect to sweat!
