Day 1: We'll be building TheLab 210 quadcopter kits that TheLab has assembled that we described and covered in our "So you want to build a drone? (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Neg3ig5gr4jD8FpduXhhxmus77fBu4fSD1hmWRvDrfY/edit?usp=sharing)" event a couple weeks ago.

Day 2: We'll finish up the build and do some basic flight instruction before taking off to a nearby park to fly the quadcopters!

If our past drone events are any indicator, the build will wind up taking anywhere between 6 to 12 hours to build, depending on the skill level of the builder. Building and flying the drones is fun enough you should plan to spend most of both days of the weekend on it!

Do I need anything else to fly TheLab 210 quadcopter?

Yes, you'll need a LiPo battery charger, a transmitter and receiver for controlling the quadcopter, and potentially some FPV goggles if you're interested in flying FPV (we strongly recommend initially holding off on the goggles and learning to fly line-of-sight). See the slideshow from the "So you want to build a drone?" (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Neg3ig5gr4jD8FpduXhhxmus77fBu4fSD1hmWRvDrfY/edit?usp=sharing) event for more info/suggestions on this other required equipment.

What skills do I need to have to put together a Quadcopter and do I need to bring any tools?

Some experience soldering would be extremely helpful, but not required. There'll be a few helpers on hand to provide guidance an instruction. Bringing your own tools isn't necessary, we should have enough on hand to equip all the builders. But please feel free to bring whatever tools you wish to work with, we'll be using the following tools; soldering iron, heat gun, wire strippers, 8mm nut driver, assorted hex drivers (1mm, 2mm, 2.5.mm) and needlenose pliers.
