How To Configure Betaflight On Your Quadcopter

Are you new to the world of FPV racing and freestyle? Do you find Betaflight intimidating? Maybe you just have a few questions.

I am going to walk through setting up one of my quadcopters from start to finish. During this class I will:

• Flash the latest version of Betaflight

• Configure Betaflight to talk to your receiver

• Explain the differences between DShot, MultiShot, and OneShot protocols

• Briefly talk about PID tuning (I'm not good at it!)

• Talk about failsafe configurations

• Map switches to various modes, and explain why I use these switches

• Show you how to calibrated your ESCs (not needed with DShot)

• Use blheli configurator to upgrade my ESCs to the latest version of blheli

Bring a laptop and your quad, and you can follow along! We may have a laptop or two available with the Betaflight Configurator installed, too!

This class is open to the public and free to attend. It will be right after our monthly Drone Swap Meet event, so if you're looking to buy or sell any used gear, you should show up about an hour early!
