"How to Taste Wine": Tasting + Light Food @ Cahn's, CBD
Details
This event is suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts willing to revisit the basics. If we have a group of 12-18, retail prices of these wines will range from around $25 to $100+.
Cost per person is $65. To confirm a place you must book a ticket via:
https://cahns.co.nz/awl-event
(Please note loyalty points are not accrued. See below for cancellation policy)
You do not need to buy the ticket if you are on the waiting list. If you are moved up onto the list you should then do so. If you get a place at the last minute, you can DM me to check arrangements.

The aim of the night is to be able to better describe your likes and dislikes, focussing on aroma and taste. There will not be lots of background info about the wines or technical stuff. The content is based on the Week One class of various winetasting courses I have taught in the past.
The event will be very informal. Note sheets will be provided but note-taking is not compulsory :-).
Wines we will try:
- crisp dry white
- sweeter white
- oaked white
- light red
- higher alcohol red
- tannic and/or older red
Cost breakdown: For a group of 12, around $12pp is for food, $15 for room hire and organizational expenses, and $38 for wine. You cannot opt out of certain wines or the food costs - everyone pays the same.
I will be at the venue from 6:45pm. I would like to start as close to 7pm as possible. If you are running late please post on the message board.
If you have any questions, do send me a direct message or comment on this page.
