Drupal Indy Monthly Meetup
Hosted by Drupal Indy
Details
NOTICE THE MEETING IS ON TUESDAY (Not Monday).
Due to the library now being booked on monday nights, we are changing the meetup date to Tuesday until further notice.
The location of this meetup will be at the university library again this month. Information about parking can be found here: http://drupalindy.org/drupal-talk/news/meet... (http://drupalindy.org/drupal-talk/news/meetup-iupui-university-library)
This month's meetup will be at the IUPUI Library in room UL 1116 (to the right after coming in the main entrance). We have created a post on our Drupal Indy site to help with parking (http://drupalindy.org/drupal-talk/news/meetup-iupui-university-library).
Please note the new time, but we hope that won't stop you from attending if you can't be there at the opening.
Niel Hastings from the Treehouse Agency (http://treehouseagency.com/about-us/team/neil-hastings) will be presenting on how to display search results in maps. This is a medium level presentation with site building and minimum coding. We will also be sharing the Drupal News and opening the floor for "Drupal Share" so all skill levels are welcome. No dress code, relaxed attitudes, open ideas, laptop encouraged, remember business cards, and we will probably go for a beer afterward.
We may even have pizza and beverages provided from 6:30-7:00 during the open socializing part of the meetup. Feel free to bring a snack to share - but don't feel obligated.
Estimated Agenda:
6:15 - Organizer Arrival and Setup
6:30 - Meetup Starts, Arrival, and Socialize
7:00 - Presentation: Aaron Dudenhofer - Drupal News
7:15 - Drupal Share - Volunteers to do a 5 minute demo of topic of choice - showcase a site, show a cool module, or get some design feedback.
7:25 - Presentation: Revisioning/Editorial Workflow of Content - Mark Klinski - Drupal can accommodate multiple content creators and content editors. This session will look at one case study of how a site can be set up using the Revisioning and Rules modules and several access control modules to create content creation workflows for multi-user sites.
7:45 - Break with Questions and Answers
8:00 - Presentation: Maps & Search - Neil Hastings
8:30 - Questions, Answers, Closing/Wrap Up
8:45 - Doors Closing - Possible after meeting locations TBD
Please contact us (http://drupalindy.org/contact) if you need help with parking, finding the location, or have any questions about the event.
FYI: If you want to park at one of the metered spots, many of the meters only take quarters and fill up quickly.
