RESCHEDULED for 6/15. Sorry folks, but due to expected weekend thunderstorms, we need to reschedule the event. At least all the recent rains will be great for growing more greenery when we finally make it!

We will be touring / walking the grounds of Old Westbury House & Gardens (WHG).
There is a $10 admission fee, payable at the grounds. This covers General Admission for the Westbury House and the Gardens.

We will be doing a self-guided tour. There are brochures available at the grounds.
WHG volunteers conduct official house tours on the hour or 1/2-hour, based on their availability. Depending on the size of our group, we may have to break into smaller, staggered groups, to tour the house. Guided tours are 45 minutes.

LIRR Info: I will be taking the LIRR out of Penn Sta. For anyone else doing the same, here are the schedules:

Depart 9:22am - Arrive 10:05am - OFF Peak Ticket to Westbury Station
I will be walking from Westbury Station to the Gardens.

It is approximately 2.5 miles. Less than 1 hour walk time at a casual pace.
I will be taking the 8:22am train. Anyone wishing to join me, please meet me at Penn Station No Later Than 8:15. Train tracks are announced 5 minutes prior to departure.
With a 9:05 arrival, that leaves time to maybe grab a snack and/or coffee near the train station (It's a small station. There's not much there, so don't expect much.. if anything.) and time to gather folks up for a leisurely walk to the gardens.
If you take the 9:22am train, you'll need to grab a cab to the gardens to arrive by 11am. Again.. fair warning.. there's not much there. Including a dearth of cabs in waiting. It's best to have the ph# for a cab company in case you have to call for one.
