We will be meeting in front of the Mahayana Buddhist Temple on 133 Canal Street.
We will visit the Mahayana Buddhist Temple, which was once the infamous ROSEMARY THEATER, pass by the oldest active NYPD precinct,visit two of the oldest stores in NYC's Chinatown, stroll over to a Fortune Cookie Shop and then go to Columbus Park (Five Points) also known as the "Tai-Chi Park".
COST: $2.00 - $5.00 Donation for the Mahayana Buddhist Temple which will allow us to tour the temple. Pay the monks at the temple.
NOTE: This event is outdoors and will require light to moderate walking. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear the proper footwear.
AFTERWARDS, feel free to join us for soup dumplings at JOE'S GINGER located at 25 Pell Street (SECOND FLOOR). Their menu can be viewed at http://www.joeginger.com Please allow ample time for dining with a group and separate checks may not be available at this location. Cash only. Minimum $15.00 per person.
