Wine/chocolate pairing, Williamsburg, Bklyn.@ Brooklyn Oenology!
Hosted by 5 BORO Exploration
Details
Brooklyn Oenology (proudly serving New York State wines/spirits) will be "pairing" (a.k.a. tasting) local wines with local made chocolates (one made at Mast Brothers chocolate factory, the only bean to bar chocolate maker in NYC) and a few more made locally as well. Both locations are around corner from each other, walking distance. Both next Saturday and Sunday (Feb 11/12, from 3-7pm). For those who have never tried NYS wines, you're in for a treat AND surprise, coming from some great wineries of upstate NY and east end of LI. The chocolates are excellent as well.
Anyone into "hiking" Fort Tryon/Cloisters park in norther Manhattan, one of the higher points in NYC!? Great views. :-)

Sorry for any web site confusion. I've been to all 3 locations, they're low key, not noisy and both wineries are open weekends late. Please see the oenology for more info.
I called the Oenology, let them know about us coming (I didn't think so many would have RSVP'd so far). The chocolate and wine is not free, it's done in "flights" and is $10-30. The parking is tough in that area, I suggest get there early as people will come and go, to find parking. Possible I may bring a few bottles of "NYC wine" made from grapes grown in Queens (and Long Island). Of course, please check the Brooklyn Oenology site more info. This event is repeated on Sunday as well. And don't forget, save your sweet lips for Steve's event Sat. night, should make for great conversation! :-)
Also, let's keep fingers crossed that the weather holds up, please call the Brooklyn Oenology for updates.
Thanks
Henry
