Let’s go to Onion Creek for a hike and swim! Onion Creek and Homestead Trail Loop on AllTrails

The exact location is: 30.18616, -97.72138. I believe the trailhead is at the Upper McKinney falls turn, but we will be in contact that morning. There is a $6 entry fee per car unless you have a State Park Season pass (totally worth it!).

This is a 6.8 mile hike with a 387 ft elevation gain. We will be stopping close the end of the hike to take a swim but it will be a short trek back if you don’t want to join in.
This is a MODERATE hike so please be prepared with good hiking boots, long socks, and plenty of water (at least 2L).
I will be bringing a first aid kit, extra water, bug spray, hydration packets, and sunscreen so please don’t be afraid to speak up if you need anything!
