Join us for an entertaining evening with one of Britain’s most distinctive and recognisable personalities, as he talks about his recent astronaut training and his inspirations in space travel.

Kicking off a periodic series of Prestige talks, Brian Blessed is known for many things, not least as a Shakespearean actor, star of stage and screen, one of the most distinctive voices in the media. Perhaps less well known is that he is a life-long space enthusiast and a fervent advocate for human space exploration. Brian will be visiting the BIS HQ in London on 9 February 2012 to give a talk about his interest in space travel, which started with “Flash Gordon” in the 1950s. He strongly believes that humanity must explore space and that the human race will one day populate worlds beyond our own. Brian’s view is that space travel has hardly begun and he believes that the future of humanity is among the stars.

Doors open at 5.30 pm, the lecture starts at 6.30 pm, with a Q&A session at 7.30 pm and refreshments included in the price. Doors close at 9 pm.
