Toning, flexibility, better posture, more efficient movement, the body/mind connection—just about every benefit the Pilates method has to offer can be achieved through mat work.

  • Pilates helps us to correct imbalances by increasing our body awareness and control, focusing on proper alignment and core strength.
  • Pilates is a workout in itself and compliments a regular workout, exercise routine and fitness goals. The work of Pilates focuses strength, balance and physical mobility through low impact, highly targeted exercise on floor and standing.The deep physical benefits of Pilates carries through daily activity and heighten our abilities to perform, as well as assist and strengthen any areas of injury. The Pilates Mat class fits all levels of exercise.
  • Therabands, blocks, tennis balls used. Bring your mat or use one of ours (reformers not used in Pilates Mat class).

When a Pilates workout is infused with this kind of attention and quality it becomes more than a physical experience, and the effects are felt throughout one's life. The mat is the perfect place to embody the Pilates principles.
