Binky Patrol Holiday Get-Together! Make Blankets for Children in need

“BP (Binky Patrol) is an all volunteer, non-profit organization making & distributing homemade blankets to children born HIV+, drug-addicted, infected with AIDS or with terminal illnesses, those who are abused, in foster care or experiencing trauma of any kind.”

Come hang out with One Brick and the Binky Patrol Ladies! We always have a lot of fun chit-chatting as we knit, and there will be some Holiday treats at this Binky Patrol meeting! This group will generally be all knitting and crocheting now because the yarn is donated and the fleece is not (so that makes knitting cheaper), but sometimes we might have fleece to knot (cutting fringe on the fleece and then knotting the fringe to make a blanket - all you need is a good pair of scissors when we do this). Our new project is making octopuses out of yarn - easy to learn how to do!

Don't worry if you don't know how to knit. Sara and Sue will give you knitting lessons!

Bring your needles, if you have them. If you don't have any, Sara and Sue have extras (and plenty of yarn). What we'll do is knit squares and then one of the ladies will put them all together to make a blanket. You can bring the knitting home to finish later too. If you have an issue finding Sonja's (we'll send you the address in the reminder email if you can't see it here) or you're going to be late or something, you can call Julie at (714) 615-1724.
