Spring published in 2019 follows a string of characters and explores themes like immigration and human nature in general, as well as the aftermath of the EU referendum and growing tensions in the UK.
A once-in-a-generation series, Ali Smith's Seasonal Quartet is a tour-de-force about love, time, art, politics, and how we live now. The books stane alone but there are connections to others in the series.
Ali Smith is a writer, born in August 1962. She studied at Aberdeen, and then at Cambridge, for a Ph.D. in American and Irish modernism until 1990. During her time at Cambridge, she began writing plays and as a result, did not complete her doctorate.
WARNING - there are some themes in the book that not all readers may enjoy reading about. Please take a look at reviews yourself if you wish to check this out.
