Calabasas Peak

The hike starts off to the left area grand vistas of the Santa Monica mountains across a lovely small valley.
Over the crest, Red Rock Canyon comes into view on the right. As you ascent to the peak, along the right are spectacular tilted and pocketed sandstone formations set against the beautiful green mountains.

• This hike is about 4 miles. (out and back)

• It's about 1000' feet elevation gain.

• The duration is about 2 hours.

• Pace: 2.5 mph or above

• Direction:

From the 405/101 Freeway: Get off the freeway at Valley Circle/Mulholland Drive. Head south on Mulholland Drive to Valmar - 0.6 miles
Turn right on Valmar / Old Topanga Canyon Road - 1.2 miles
Turn right on Mulholland Highway - 3.8 miles
Turn left on Stunt road - 1.0 miles to trailhead dirt parking area on the right.

From the 101 Freeway west of Calabasas: 101 East, exit on Las Virgenes Road and head south for 3 miles to Mulholland Highway. Turn right on Stunt road-1.0 miles to trailhead dirt parking area on the right.
