Join us on Friday July 18 for a traditional Bluegrass and Folk Acoustic Jam. It'll be from 6:30pm to 9:00 pm at "The Classroom", Dedham School of Music's music and performance space at the Mother Brook Arts and Community Center, 123 High Street, Dedham MA
Our "3rd Friday Acoustic Bluegrass and Folk Jam" stays close to the folk and bluegrass Acoustic Jam tradition. We welcome traditional stringed acoustic instruments like mandolin, guitar, banjo and fiddle to play traditional folk and bluegrass tunes.
Since we "go around the circle" to share songs, you can prepare by learning and practicing a couple of traditional or folk tunes. If you want someone else to do the vocals for your songs or want someone to help with introducing the tunes contact your Organizer Fred . . . he's especially good with beginners.
Folks who like a wider music palette (rock, jazz, swing, etc.) and who enjoy playing other instruments (like flute, clarinet, brass and winds) are encouraged to come to our 4th Fridays "Freestyle" Acoustic Jam.
