Big Data Lambda Architecture in AWS with Don Brinn

• What we'll do
The Brightspace Data Platform (BDP) has switched to a Lambda Architecture implemented fully in AWS.
In this presentation, I’ll talk about the different technologies and approaches that we investigated, and the trade-offs that we made during our design and implementation. I’ll share lessons applicable to others doing work in AWS, supporting multiple regions, handling Big Data, or interested in a lambda architecture.

Don has been a Senior Test Developer at D2L for the past 3 years, working on the Brightspace Data Platform, including helping with its Lambda Architecture re-implementation. He has also been a manager and technical contributor in test automation and development at BlackBerry and Microsoft.
