Programming Robots!

While robots often seem like things out of science fiction, there are many of them that you can actually program right from your own computer. Developer and educator Jay Wengrow will be showing that writing computer code to control robots is actually a lot easier than it looks. Among the robots we'll be working with are the Sphero (http://gosphero.com) and the Ardrone flying drone ( http://ardrone2.parrot.com/), and we'll be programming them using common languages such as Ruby and JavaScript. While you won't be able to follow along due to the fact that we don't have robots for everyone to work with, we'll be showing all the steps necessary in getting started in case you did want to buy your own robot and control it to do your bidding! This is going to be a lot of fun.
