Route 66 Festival - 100th Anniversary of the “Mother Road”!
Details
Let’s get together and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66! Edwardsville's 28th Annual Route 66 Festival will be in City Park on Saturday, June 13 to honor the Mother Road with a fun array of live music, food and drinks, a classic car show/cruise, Roadside Market, Kid Zone, trolley tours and more! www.edwardsvilleroute66.com
*** We’ll meet at the event’s Parks and Recreation Ticket and Information Booth. For those interested in a trolley ride, tickets are $5 each and must be purchased at the event. Tickets will sell out quickly so we will purchase them upon arrival. ***
The trolley tour will check out some Route 66 sites in Edwardsville and provide a bit of history about this historic road. The tours will last 40 minutes and be offered five times on Saturday afternoon, leaving on the hour between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Trolley pick-up/drop-off will be at the front parking lot of the Public Works Building, 200 East Park
Street, near the City Park bandstand.
In case it gets busy and the group gets separated, please have a “buddy” to stick with so you have a good time. Once we arrive and get our trolley tickets at the Parks and Rec booth, we’ll designate a time and place to meet for lunch by the food trucks. There is no map of the event offered yet but I will attach it to this event’s photos once it becomes available. We look forward to seeing all of you for a day of fun!
