Details

Why Join the ERC?

  1. Social Capital: Build meaningful relationships with other entrepreneurs and expand your professional network.
  2. Problem-Solving: Leverage the collective wisdom and resources of the group to tackle your personal and professional challenges.
  3. Learning Opportunity: Gain new insights from others' experiences, perspectives, and expertise.
  4. Community Support: Experience the empowering environment of mutual aid and camaraderie.

How does it work?

  1. Preparation: Prior to the session, participants will be asked to identify a specific request or challenge they are currently facing in their entrepreneurial journey. This could be anything from seeking advice on a business problem, looking for connections in a specific industry, or needing resources for a particular project. The more specific the request, the better help the group can offer.
  2. Introduction: The event will begin with an introduction from the facilitator, explaining the concept of the Reciprocity Ring and the goal of the meeting. This will set the tone for the session and ensure all participants understand the process.
  3. Icebreaker Activity: An icebreaker activity will be conducted to create a comfortable and informal ambiance. This will help participants feel more relaxed and open, which is crucial for the effective exchange of help and resources.
  4. Presentation of Requests: Each participant will be given 2-3 minutes to present their request to the group. During this time, they will explain their current challenge and what kind of help or resources they are seeking.
  5. Clarifying Questions: After each presentation, there will be a time for clarifying questions. Participants can ask the presenter questions to better understand their request, ensuring that the offered help will be as relevant and beneficial as possible.
  6. Offering Help: Participants will then have the opportunity to offer help, connections, or resources that can address the presenter's request. This can be done through a live discussion in the group.
  7. Documenting Offers: All the offers of help will be documented. For in-person sessions, this will be done on a whiteboard or flip chart; for virtual meetings, on a shared Google Sheet. This will provide a clear record of who has offered what help to whom.
  8. Wrap-up and Follow-up: The facilitator will wrap up the session by summarizing the main points and offers made. Photos will be taken of the whiteboard/flip chart or screenshots of the Google Sheet will be saved for future reference. All participants will receive a summary of the meeting via email, along with reminders to follow up on their offers of help.

This is a small event and each attendee is expected to engage and contribute. Seats are very limited.
