SpringRole started in 2014 by matching jobs with resumes using LinkedIn’s API, It then scaled to $50K MRR before being denied access by LinkedIn itself. SpringRole has first hand experienced with centralization problems like data lock-in, they couldn’t get access to LinkedIn’s API without talking to them.

Now, SpringRole has risen to the top as one of the most prominent Blockstacks dApps. They saw decentralization as a solution. User profile on SpringRole is something they can customize, enrich with different modules, get it verified and finally own it. Their mission is to cut out the noise of fake profiles and credentials while letting folks maintain ownership over their professional online profiles.

Shankar Ganesh PJ

Shankar has close to 13+ years of experience in the software industry. In his current role as Staff Engineer, he has ownership of Network Control product for various public & private clouds and Micro service architecture solutions.
He is also playing key role in the Decentralization technology movement by contributing towards Blockstack, Blockchain start-ups Saving Organ Mines. Mentored students to win at various hackathons. Recently recognized by Government of India at Blockchain Summit India 2019.
His expertise is; not as developing intelligent systems (artificial intelligence) or building systems that can learn (machine learning), but as creating network of systems that can learn to be intelligent.

Kartik Mandaville

Kartik is the founder and CEO of SpringRole - a machine learning based recruiting Startup. SpringRole is backed by notable investors such as - Science, Bloomberg Beta and high profile Angels like Gil Penchina and Mike Jones. He also served as the Senior Technical Advisor at Science-Inc, Handstand (on demand fitness trainers - funded by Reebok), Lenny (helps build one’s credit score) and Burst (electric toothbrushes on subscription).

Kartik graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh with Masters from the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science focusing on Big Data, Machine Learning, NLP and Bio-technology. During his time there, he was part of the IBM Watson project and worked on genome analysis with machine learning.
