The San Diego Food Bank (SDFB) provides nearly 24,000 meals a day and feeds over 360,000 people per month. Last year, the SDFB distributed 11.2 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 8.75 million meals. In order to feed so many people in our community the SDFB relies entirely on volunteers to sort, pack and distribute food.

Volunteer jobs include:

Cleaning and packaging fresh produce for distribution
Sorting food received from food drives
Bagging food for distribution
Boxing food on the SDFB’s assembly line

Join us to spend a few hours volunteering 9am -noon.

Since the Food Bank will be relying on us that day please make a point of coming if you RVSP. I have to give them a head count as this gets closer.
