Mini Cocktail Crawl (March)

Love a nice cocktail? Join us for a Woo Woo or a Margarita in 4 great bars around Glasgow city centre. Let's put the spring in our step in March. This time, we re-visit a couple of our favourite cocktail bars!

This month, we will be meeting at 1pm in Cova, 57 West Regent St, Glasgow G2 2AE.

Then just before 2pm, we will head to Missoula, at 46 Renfield St, Glasgow G2 2RA.

We will then walk to Blue Dog, 151 W George St, Glasgow G2 2JJ, around 3pm.

Finally ending up at The Citizen, 24 St Vincent Pl, Glasgow G1 2EU, around 4pm, where we can order food and stay till late.

The Rules

It's really sad that we have had to make rules for a group for adults, but there's "no accounting for folk" (as they say).

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS PLACES ON THIS EVENT ARE SO LIMITED, THE ORGANISER MAY MOVE PEOPLE FROM THE MAIN LIST TO THE WAIT LIST JUST TO GIVE OTHERS A CHANCE TO ATTEND. We have had to restrict numbers to this event as some of the bars are small and it is often impossible to reserve a table unless we pay a hefty deposit of £150+ in advance (which we are not prepared to do).

ALSO, THIS IS NOT A FIRST TIMERS' EVENT. UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TO ANOTHER EVENT WITH US, SUCH AS A WETHERSPOONS NIGHT, YOU WILL BE MOVED TO THE WAITLIST.

We have had to apply these rules due to the high numbers of "no shows" the group has had over the past few months. We are a new and relatively small group and the organisers put a lot of time, effort and (their own) money into running the group. People who take up places then don't show up (or cancel at the last minute) cause a great inconvenience to the other group members. Sadly, due to this, we are having to be more strict.

Anyone who is rude or obnoxious to either the organiser, fellow members, bar staff, or anyone else during the course of an event will receive a warning and/or be removed from the group. We are out to enjoy ourselves, not to put up with bad behaviour. We understand that people can get drunk, but this is no excuse for people behaving badly or being aggressive and we are no longer going to tolerate it. If you do not like the rules, or love to argue, go elsewhere.

Please pay the organiser £1 each on the day to help cover the group's fees. We will be charging £1 per person at every event from January 2024 onwards. It costs £25 per month for Meetup subscription fees (plus event fees) and the organisers also have to attend every event, which is costly.

We hope you appreciate their time and effort and want to contribute this small, token amount at each event, without being asked again. Anyone who doesn't volunteer (without having to be asked) to pay the organiser £1 at the event upon arrival will be removed from the group.

Again, we are sorry it has come to this, that we are having to impose "rules" on a group for adults, but we have had a lot of tricky behaviour to deal with over the last year! We prefer to enjoy ourselves instead.
