What should I charge for my product? It is a question many makers, designers and (web) shop owners have.

There are so many different ways to determine the price of your product; market research, determining your costs and adding a certain percentage, your own opinion, your moms opinion, etc. And there are so many values that customers attach to the price of a product! They think the price represents the quality of a product, if it is really handmade, and, if they will end up buying your product! Mostly, you are on your own, with your product, in your house. I don't like this! Let's struggle with our prices together and help each other out here.

On Monday February 29th, I organize a meetup at Makerversity on the Marineterrein in Amsterdam, where all who are present will help each other with product pricing strategies. Together we are better!

I will facilitate the meeting and will host an easy system to make sure you will get as much input on others' opinion of your prices as possible. Next to that, it is always great to meet other makers, indie entrepreneurs and sellers in Amsterdam. My dream is to host a real co-working space for makers and designers who sell online. This space should have knowledge sharing and working together as one of its core goals. That's why I am already starting these meetings to see who is ready to come along on this journey and open the greatest space ever!

The costs for this event are 2,50 per person thanks tot Makerversity who is offering us a space for free! This amount is for the unlimited tea and cookies, and my materials and other costs. You can get that to me by PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/ANNNAevents/2,50 or, if you prefer a direct transfer, send an email to annabel@annna.nl and I will send you my bank account number. Once you have paid, you have confirmed your spot. There are a limited number of places available.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • A product you would like to have priced by the group workshop.

  • A list of features of your product which you think are important for the price (f.e. handmade, organic cotton, made in the Netherlands, etc.)

  • Your best mood!
