Blend has developed a method to easily extend eZ to implement background task processing across multiple servers using Gearman. We'll cover the basics of Gearman and our extension that makes it eZ to build Gearman tasks for eZ Publish, and demonstrate how it works. 5:00pm

Blend has developed an extension that allows for the simple creation and management of recurring events and 'calendar' type tasks. I'll talk briefly on the data model for recurring events and demonstrate the extension, which is available via GitHub. 6:15 - 7:00 break if needed
