Paws-N-Claws Mothers Day Vigil-demonstration

Details
This Mother’s Day weekend give a voice to the 130,000+ breeding mothers working overtime in Midwest puppy-factories producing litters for Mother’s Day gifts. Join Puppy Mill Awareness’s Eastpointe team at a vigil-demonstration in front of Paws-N-Claws pet store from 4- 6 p.m.
Candles will be provided and plenty of photos of mothers who never made it out.
If you have a rescued puppy mill survivor, please bring them for the vigil portion of the event at 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to stay, but we do not encourage our furry members to be close to the road during the demonstration.
May marks our sixth month of protesting at this location. Why have we been coming every Saturday in all types of weather? Seven of the ten out-of-state USDA licensed breeders that supply Paws-N-Claws have citations listed on their inspection reports, ranging from sanitation problems to inadequate veterinary care. In addition, USDA inventory reports show that these are large commercial operations with hundreds of dogs. They are just as bad as Petland, in fact, they use the same broker out of Minnesota.
Signs: We will have all the signs and banners.
Contact: Pam Sordyl, 734-718-7100
Parking: You can in the front of Dublin's Pub.
General Reminders:
-
Do not go into the store, before, during or after the rally. If you choose to protest, you can no longer go into the store to check anything out on any day.
-
Don't walk or park in the plaza lot. We have to stay on public property.
-
Don't get too close to the entrance. If people stop, make sure they pull around where we will have more information. We can't block traffic.
-
If you are new, you do not need to speak to the public. If someone asks you questions at the exit, tell them to pull around so they do not block traffic.
-
If it looks like rain/snow, find some clear plastic bags for your sign. I use clear drop cloth.
Thank you in advance for joining us.
