The 64 Bytes Club is a Pittsburgh-based community for anyone who loves Commodore 64, classic DOS, retro PC builds, and vintage PC gaming — plus curious minds who want to learn how it all actually worked.

If you have a soft spot for the Commodore 64, a nostalgic twitch when you see a C:> prompt, or a drawer full of old floppies you can't bring yourself to throw out? You're in the right place.

Did you know, magazines use to print BASIC code and other computer languages for you to compile your own games? Whether you remember this, or this is the first time learning this, everyone is welcome here. We love Commodore 64, classic DOS, and vintage PCs — the golden age of computing when 64 kilobytes was a big deal and everybody's first line of code was probably 10 PRINT.

Whether you're a lifelong hobbyist who still has the manuals, or just curious how software was written when RAM was measured in kilobytes instead of gigabytes, come hang out.
