2nd Warsaw Beam Meetup! [ONLINE]
Details
[ONLINE]
We’re happy to announce this year’s first Beam Meetup.
This time 100% online!
Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81245748009
About the speakers:
Speaker #1: Reza Rokni
Subject of talk: Using Apache Beam with TFX for production of large scale ML pipelines
In his 7 years @Google, Reza has been lucky enough to work with developers from many industries from Gaming to Banking, applying Google's Data Analytics technologies to new domains. Currently as developer advocate for Google Cloud Dataflow and Apache Beam, he gets to have fun talking about stream processing all day long, or should that be stream processing unbounded... :-)
Speaker #2: Alex Van Boxel
Subject of talk: Beam Schema Options
Alex Van Boxel is an Apache Beam committer and loves metadata.
What up with all the metadata on the metadata? This deep dive into BIP-1, Beam Improvement Proposal One, tells the story about Schema Options. Schema Options give extra context to row fields and schemas. I'll dive in the proposal and give a break down of the potential use, but I can already give some real-world examples of how we're using these options in our ingestion platform, based on Beam.
This event is possible thanks to Google and Polidea.
