Feature is Frank Ippolito - Every 2 Months Virtual JC Photography Meetup
Details
Frank Ippolito is a visual artist and musician who lives and works in Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Ippolito earned a BFA at Pratt Institute and teaches traditional and digital media at FDU. His illustration work has been commissioned by clients that include Scientific American, New York Times, U.S. Geological Survey, and Audubon Society. Mr. Ippolito’s artwork hangs on permanent exhibit at both the American Museum of Natural History and The National Zoo. As an artist and musician, Frank regularly exhibits and performs in galleries and venues throughout the area. Central to his recent artwork is his exploration of mixed-media constructs that combine photography, painting, sculptural elements, and internal illumination. Ippolito’s experimental performance pieces mix live music, storytelling, and projected images in ways that blur boundaries and confound expectations.

The format for the Meetups is as follows:
- Bringing photos is NOT required to attend--Just interest and questions.
Any theme is just a suggestion. You can show 5 - 10 pictures of anything.
I have created this event to be virtual. We will be using Zoom for this meeting. The link will be available the weekend before the meetup.
This is a group for anyone interested in photography. We meet every month to look at each others work, answer questions, provide feedback, and choose a theme for the next meetup. All media and skill levels welcomed. Whether you're a first-timer, an enthusiastic hobbyist, or a seasoned pro, this group will give you a chance to show your work in a friendly, supportive environment in which we can challenge and learn from one another.
