Hike to Kokořín Castle & the Magical Kokořínsko Forests

Join us for a scenic day hike through one of the most enchanting areas in the Czech Republic — the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area, home to Kokořín Castle, sandstone rock formations, peaceful pine forests, and hidden trails that feel straight out of a storybook.

We’ll start our hike by walking through forest paths lined with dramatic rock towers and deep ravines. Along the way, we’ll pass carved rock dwellings and natural sandstone arches — unique to this region. The highlight of our trip is Kokořín Castle, perched dramatically on a rocky cliff. Built in the 14th century and later restored in the Romantic style, it looks like something from a fairy tale.

After reaching the castle, there will be time to explore the grounds, climb the tower for panoramic views, or just relax and soak in the atmosphere.
