RIVERVALE GREEN FAIR
The Township of River Vale’s Environmental Committee and
Mayor’s Wellness Campaign have joined together to
organize the first “River Vale Green Fair.”
The event will be held rain or shine on
Sunday, June 3rd from 12pm – 4pm at the River Vale’s Upper Grove Field Complex at 406 Rivervale Road.
The goal of the event is to raise community awareness about the significance of sustainability in everyday living and the importance of making lifelong healthy decisions.
In addition to sponsoring activities which promote exercise, including outdoor laser tag and yoga, there will be an interactive “Bash the Trash” children’s show at 12pm and again at 2pm. Vendors, including some from the popular “River Vale Farmer’s Market” will be offering a variety of products, services and healthy treats for purchase, including jams, salsas, pickles, salads, wraps, chilies and all natural ice creams and ices, just to name a few.
Bring your old crayons, eyeglasses and
cell phones for recycling.
There will also be a Book Swap, where you can bring your unwanted adults or children’s fiction or non-fiction books in excellent condition and swap them for other books in excellent condition.
From 9:00am – 11:30am, the Township will be offering free document shredding in front of Town Hall at 406 Rivervale Road.
If you bike or walk to the event, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a variety of prizes donated by the following generous businesses: emeals.com, Sukha Arts Center, Road Runners, Plan Toys, The Pool Company, Food Evolution, Woodside Music Studio, Spoon Me, I Can't Believe Its Yogurt, Dairy Queen Emerson, Mr. Cupcakes, Sports Expert, Sports Authority, Glaze Pottery, Sweet & Sassy, Womrath's Book Store, Campmor, Liberty Science Center, Earthopoly, Yarn Diva, Bensi Hillsdale
