Ideas Café: Building Your Tribe
Details
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
Do you want to get inspired by and connect with likeminded entrepreneurs that put purpose before profit?
Are you driven to get a new project, product, app or service that you believe in out into the real world?
Are you a skilled tech, design or marketing professional attracted to the energy of the startup scene?
Or perhaps you're just super energised and excited to give back and help someone else bring their vision to life?
If so, come and join us for an evening of co-learning and connection.
IDEAS CAFÉ
Hosted by the founders of the Happy Startup School (who are visiting Portland for a few days from the UK before heading to Mount Hood for their 2nd Alptitude founders retreat), Laurence and Carlos have built up a global community of more than 150,000 budding entrepreneurs, founders and leaders that believe there's more to life and business than making money alone. Through their game-changing camps and retreats, popular blog and online courses and community, they've helped thousands of people take the happier path to running their own business or finding more meaningful work that aligns with their values.
The purpose of Ideas Café is to connect likeminded entrepreneurs, professionals and experts, forge new friendships and share knowledge. Some of you may gain a new insight, some of you may solve a problem but everyone will leave feeling energised and inspired to make things happen.
Using the 'Lean Coffee' format we help everyone who attends to participate in discussions that mean something to them and where they feel they can lend their expertise and/or experience. You will be split into groups of 6 to 8 (depending on attendance) and each group will have a facilitator to guide them through the discussions. It's fast paced, participatory and driven by the passion of the group.
