Virtual - Professional Growth in Web Development with the SaHLA framework

Details
Virtual - Aftercamp Meetup - Learning Well
Who:
Anyone who is learning about technology and software development.
Description:
The internet and the technologies that power it is rapidly evolving. New frameworks and libraries are coming out all the time. When you sign up to become a web developer, you sign up for a career of learning.
For some of us, learning and growth comes naturally. For the rest of us, it takes an immense amount of work.
In this session, we will explore the SaHLA framework. This framework describes a process in which can be used to describe the cycle we go through when we learn new things or want to grow. By understanding it, we can move through it quickly.
We will break down the 4 steps of the framework, Self Awareness, Humility, Logic, and Action, and relate it back to learning high technical concepts. By the end of the session, you will have a way to internally recognize where you are at in your own learning, and what you can do to move through the difficulty of learning new things and onto rapid, furious growth.
