Dear friends,

Initial Coin Offerings have been a hot topic in the fintech industry for quite some time. And there are critical voices, viewing them as an instrument for fraud – not only since this failed PR stunt of a major German fintech. So it’s about time to discuss the opportunities, challenges and upcoming regulations of ICOs seriously.

And we will do so, at finfinity #9: “ICOs: Challenges and Regulations”.
The meetup will start at 7 PM on 12th of June at the Solution Space (http://solutionspace.de/) in 50667 Cologne, Am Hof 20-26.

Agenda:

  1. Christian Rokitta – ”The Rise of Security Tokens”.
Our first speaker will be Christian Rokitta, CEO of insoro. He will contrast the regulatory problems ICOs face and their disruptive potential when compared to VCs and IPOs.

  2. Max Lautenschläger – “The ICOs of Today, the Prospects of Tomorrow”.
As our second speaker, Max Lautenschläger, Managing Partner at Iconiq Lab, will join us. He will touch various ICO-related topics, from ICOs as early-stage investments to the different kinds of tokens and the future of the whole ICO approach.

  3. Dr. Osman Sacarcelik – “ICOs and crypto assets – Regulatory and legal challenges and solutions.”
Our third speaker Dr. Sacarcelik is a banking and regulatory lawyer at Deloitte Legal in Frankfurt. In his presentation, he will explain us the juridical dimensions of ICOs.

  4. Benjamin Kirschbaum – "ICOs – Regulation and Taxation under German law“.
Concluding the meetup, our fourth speaker Benjamin Kirschbaum will give us an overview of the German legislature regarding ICOs. Benjamin is involved in cryptocurrencies since early 2012. At the law office WINHELLER attorneys, he gives legal advice to cryptocurrency businesses and regularly communicates with the German supervisory authority BaFin.
